Fading Memories

(Bokeh Impressionism)

Early in 2020 I began experiment with some abstraction. I found I liked the bokeh effect often used in photography, which in the depth of field shows the background as rather blurry. I thought it might be interesting to blur the entire image that way with my paintings. Happily, I found that others liked what I was doing, so I have continued my experimentation with varying degrees of abstraction. I also refer to these paintings as my Fading Memories Series, reflecting distant memories and aren’t quite in full focus.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business.
